Banks County School System Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins announced Asha Ravencraft, teacher at Banks County High School, as the Banks County School System Teacher of the Year on Monday night, November 14th.  In addition, Ravencraft was awarded $500 from Jackson Electric Membership Corporation. The system also recognized each schools Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year.

To Our Veterans:

Thank you so much for your service. We are disappointed that we were not able to host our scheduled Veterans Day programs because of the inclement weather. This day is one of the highlights of our school year. Our students, faculty, and community enjoy the opportunity to honor our Veterans-near and far. We are already planning for next year's celebration. For now, please enjoy the slideshow recognizing some of our heroes. Veterans, thank you again for your service and sacrifice for us!

Banks County Elementary School students were greeted by a celebrity this past week, Ryan Beesley. Students have been learning about the weather and its impact on Georgia residents.

Banks County Schools will be closed Friday, November 11, 2022, as the area is under a wind advisory due to the projected path of the storm and the potential issues during travel times. All activities for Thursday, November 10th will take place as scheduled. No extra-curricular activities will take place on Friday, November 11th. Thank you and please stay safe.
