Instructional Lead Teacher

Mrs. Lora Millwood is the Instructional Lead Teacher (ILT) at Banks County Elementary School. This is her 20th year as an educator in Banks County and her first year as ILT. She received her Education Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University in 2012. After years of teaching experience in both fourth and fifth grades, Mrs. Millwood chose to pursue the ILT position because of her desire to encourage and support fellow teachers and their students in this new role. She loves being a part of the Banks County School System, which focuses on creating a positive learning experience for all students.

 

Mrs. Millwood’s favorite hobbies include hiking, reading, and baking. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, Dustin, and hopes to one day have traveled to all of the U.S. National Parks.
