Banks County Schools is partnering with the Georgia Department of Education and Parent ProTech to give ALL parents FREE access to powerful tools that help kids use technology safely and responsibly.

Students across Banks County Schools got a sweet start to the school year with fresh “Oh Henry” peaches grown locally by Jaemor Farms. The special treat was part of the district’s ongoing Farm to School initiative, which connects students to Georgia-grown produce while supporting local agriculture.

THE BANKS COUNTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WILL HOLD CHARTER SYSTEM GOVERNANCE COUNCIL MEETINGS ON THE FOLLOWING DATES FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR AT 6:00 P.M.

Banks County Elementary School is accepting nominations for a parent representative to serve on the school-based governance team. Applications will be accepted beginning August 11, 2025.

In response to new state legislation (HB 340) and the negative impact cell phones and other personal electronic devices have on student learning, Banks County Board of Education is establishing a policy prohibiting the use of all personal electronic devices by students in grades K-12 from the first bell at the start of school each morning to the last dismissal bell at the end of the school day.

In a continued effort to enhance safety and security for students and staff, Banks County Schools will be implementing new access procedures at Banks County Primary School and Banks County Elementary School beginning this school year.

Banks County Schools is currently pausing the Annual Student Record Update process for the 2025–2026 school year. This temporary pause is necessary to allow time for updates to all student handbooks in order to reflect recent changes to state laws.
