Maysville Baptist Church recently led the Operation Warm Coat initiative at Banks County Elementary School, where they donated over 800 coats to ensure each student had one for the winter.

Banks County Board of Education recognized each school's Teacher of the Year and Classified Person of the Year at the last BOE meeting on November 16th.

We are also hosting the Canned Food Frenzy from November 6th through December 12th.
Items Needed:
Green Beans, Canned Potatoes, Corn, Sweet Potatoes, Stuffing Mix,
Pumpkin, Evaporated Milk, Cranberry Sauce, Peanut Butter, Soups
Our goal is to collect 2,000 cans! Items will be collected in the
homerooms.

In collaboration with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and the National Weather Service, Banks County Schools will participate in Georgia's Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Day on November 1st at 9:30 a.m.
This is an opportunity for our school community to practice and familiarize ourselves with necessary safety protocols in the event of severe weather.

BCES participated in Red Ribbon Week with dress-up days and door decorating.
