A solar eclipse will occur on Monday, April 8, 2024.
The eclipse is expected to be visible in our area around 2:30 PM, with the darkest time near dismissal at approximately 3:06 PM. The school system will provide our students and staff with special glasses that can be used to view the eclipse safely.
Parents who wish to check their child out of school early to view the eclipse with them may do so beginning at 1:30 PM following check-out procedures at your child's school.
