Due to the delay in reopening school, we have postponed our open house that was originally scheduled for August 6. Please stay tuned for an updated open house schedule in the near future!

If a student has health concerns that puts him/her at a greater health risk or if there is a family situation that heightens health risk by him/her attending school in person, there will be an online curriculum available to the student. Parents with these concerns will need to contact the principal via e-mail prior to July 17th to set up a meeting with the counselor/administrator to work through timelines, expectations, and support plans to ensure we are maximizing the education of the child. Please note that this online learning will look different than what was offered at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This digital learning option will require a significant commitment from students and parents as it will be a full semester commitment (beginning of school until Christmas break). Attendance, grading, and accountability expectations will be consistent for students participating in traditional/face-to-face instruction. Specials/connections/elective courses may be limited for those students choosing the digital option. Because of health concerns, students utilizing the online learning option should not participate in extra-curricular activities.
Please contact the principal, Dr. Dana Simmons, at dsimmons@banks.k12.ga.us if you are interested in this option. The supply lists for the 2020-2021 school year are now available. We understand the obstacles many of our families continue to face in these uncertain times, as well as the limited availability of some items that are typically on our supply lists. Therefore, we have made a conscious effort to minimize our lists. While items such as disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer and facial tissues will be very helpful in keeping students safe and well upon return, these items have been moved to our donation/wish list. Any donations of these items will be graciously appreciated. We are truly grateful for the continued support from our BC community as we work to prepare for the upcoming school year.
